The College of Law at the University of Basra, the Women's Empowerment and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Community Police, organized a seminar on domestic violence .

The seminar pointed out that the problem of domestic violence is a socio-psychological phenomenon that all developed and developing societies suffer from at different rates and is a serious phenomenon that threatens the security and entity of the family.
