The College of Law Holds an Awareness Seminar on the Health Disability Law for Employees

The College of Law, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Centre at the University of Basrah, held an awareness seminar on the Health Disability Law for Employees.

The seminar was delivered by Lecturer I'tidal Abdulbaqi Yousif, Head of the Quality Assurance Division, who highlighted the key provisions of the law, explaining the concepts of disability, partial and total incapacity, and the procedures for implementing its provisions.

The seminar also addressed the employee's key rights, including leaves and compensation, as well as the procedures for appealing decisions issued by medical committees before the Appellate Medical Committee, whose decisions are final.

This seminar is part of the activities organised by the College and the Centre to enhance employees' legal awareness and provide support and guidance on matters related to public service.
