The College of Law at the University of Basra organized a wide-scale campaign for afforestation and planting green spaces.

The Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Aqeel Fadel Hamad Al-Dahan, stated that the college launched a large volunteer campaign to rehabilitate the gardens and walkways within the college, with the participation of several professors and staff members.
