The College of Law at the University of Basra organized a large campaign for afforestation and the planting of green spaces.

The Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs stated that the college launched a wide volunteer campaign to rehabilitate the gardens and pathways within the college, in which several faculty members, students, and department heads participated.
